Decision anxiety is something we face, whether it’s blueberry or raspberry, it’s matters of taste. If you’re like us, we take suggestions as a must, to trust, and bust our conscious brains to mush. With the constant pursuit of the next big thing, below are lists of our inner mind bling.

Do I listen to a podcast?
How long is the book?
Is it worth watching?

Talking Practice - Harvard Graduate School of Design
QB - This is something I like to slide on when I’m cooking up dinner, with the headphones on, it lets me listen to David Chipperfield’s life story from the man’s mouth to my ears, all while slicing up the brown onion for soup. The format is around 1 hour long, but can be listened to in sections, like your bedside book.
76 Small Rooms
DH - A local podcast from Jeremy Hansen, Natasha Markham, Mat Brown and Richard Archbold. An interesting outlook on the future of the profession as well as hearing from both kiwi and overseas talent. Particularly loved the interview with Matt Liggins explaining his pathway through the profession, as well as the in-conversation with local photographer David Straight.
Face to Face - Dezeen
QB - One of the favourites, it brings to the microphone some of the biggest names in design. It’s as conventional as taking your grandmother in a roller-coaster. Pure discussions about why we do what we do, and how some of the names and figures we’ve come to love got where they are.
Today, Explained - Vox
QB - If I pop out for a short stroll and feel like catching up on some topical news, this is where I head. The renowned investigative journalists Vox dice quick 30min talks with specialists about global news and politics.. “News comes at you fast. Join us at the end of your day to understand it.”
Desert Island Discs - BBC
QB - Time behind the wheel or on the handlebars has me reaching play on one of these, over 80 years of recorded interviews are a god-send for any occasion. From the likes of Sir Edmund Hillary to Zaha Hadid, there is nothing which compares, and I’m forever grateful for finding, a recommendation to everyone.
