Bhavya Gajjar

Today we are chatting to Bhavya, a 5th year student from Unitec in Auckland. This section of work is from her 3rd and 4th year studio work!

Bhavya: The Pudong Peace Pavilion provides a space open to all practitioners regardless of religious affiliation, and functions more as a gathering place of worship to interested visitors.

The project’s location was by the riverbank to support the overarching theme of ‘blue mind’. It is a chance for the people to escape the hyperconnected, overstimulated state of modern day life, favouring a rare moment of solitude.

The drawings explore various mediums of architectural representation techniques from line work, charcoal to ink transfers, playing with different tones and contrast.
