Today Rohan from Unitec is showcasing his First year project based on the intricate and captivating qualities of Ancient Hindu Temples.
Rohan: Unknown to the majority of the western world, Hindu Architecture is an ancient and fascinating art form that encompasses mathematics, design, traditions and symbolism.
This project delved into the aesthetics and function of three Hindu Shiva Temples, all constructed at the turn of the first millennium A.D: Shore Temple in Mahabalipuram; Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneshwar; and Kandariya Mahadeva in Kahjuraho.
