Home Edition 06
This week, Renee shows us her gorgeous home studio, filled with light and nature.
Your studio is awesome! How does your space help and inspire you to design?
I’ve always had a huge inspiration from nature so when I couldn’t face the window, I tried to bring it inside with natural and artificial plants taking up a decent part of my studio. It was the biggest help in getting the creative juices flowing!
What has been the biggest struggle of lockdown?
For everyone, lockdown posed a unique set of challenges, especially when dealing with a final project where I couldn’t reach the site we were working on, or when I was taking inspiration from the night sky, something that isn’t in its full glory in Auckland. This led to me relying on others in my cohort for references and ideas.
Despite the struggle, my cohort, through both in-person and zoom, all came together to create an extremely supportive community that I can’t wait to work with next year!.
What are you looking forward to when we go back (fingers crossed!) to in-person learning next year?
The main thing that I’m looking forward to is the atmosphere of the studio, and the ideas and developments that get thrown around by everyone!
